I was reading the paper this morning and the CTA is going to raise their fare prices from $1.75 to $3.40 per ride! It's either that or lay off like a trillion workers and then that means buses and trains don't come as frequent as they usually do and what not. Fucking SCARY. Jesus, I'm going to buy a bike and ride down to work.

Also, Nikko did NOT make it into the top 12 on American Idol. I was seriously disappointed. I wanted to throw chairs at America. Seriously. I really thought he was going to make it to the top 3 or something. He's a shit load better than some of those that are on the top 12 already. The only person I like now is that Mario Vasquez kid.

After a five-year recording break, experimental rockers Mr. Bungle are officially done. "I'm at a point now where I crave healthy musical environments, where there is a genuine exchange of ideas without repressed envy or resentment, and where people in the band want to be there regardless of what public accolades may come their way," says singer Mike Patton. "Unfortunately, Mr. Bungle was not one of those places."
The multi-member band (whose core members included Patton, guitarist Trey Spruance, bassist Trevor Dunn, saxophonist Clinton "Bar" McKinnon and drummer Danny Heifetz) originally formed back in the mid-Eighties in Eureka, California, while its members were still in high school. Then Patton joined Faith No More before their commercial breakthrough, 1989's The Real Thing. The boost in exposure landed Bungle a recording contract with Warner Bros., which released 1991's Mr. Bungle, 1995's Disco Volante and 1999's California.

Although Bungle never matched Faith No More's commercial success, they gained a large cult following and influenced recent funk/metal chart-toppers -- most notably Korn, whose guitarists utilize what they've dubbed the "Mr. Bungle chord." Also, long before Slipknot, Bungle donned masks onstage to hide their identities.

"We could have probably squeezed out a couple more records but the collective personality of this group became so dysfunctional," Patton says. "This band was poisoned by one person's petty jealousy and insecurity, and it led us to a slow, unnatural death. And I'm at peace with that, because I know I tried all I could."

With Bungle now removed from his schedule planner, Patton will spend next year focusing on his myriad of other bands. Peeping Tom, for which Patton plays all of the instruments himself, will finally release an oft-delayed debut, and there will be records by Fantomas and Tomahawk, as well as General Patton vs. the X-ecutioners, a collaboration with turntable specialists the X-ecutioners. The singer has also recently branched out beyond rock -- into acting, in Steve Balderson's Firecracker; and scoring, for the forthcoming video game, Bully.

And of course, Patton continues to run his label, Ipecac, which will release new material from the likes of Washington, D.C., noise-mongers Orthrelm, British prog-rock duo Guapo and ambient one-man band the Locust. "When something is important to you, you find a way to make the time," the multi-tasking Patton says. "Or rather, the time makes itself."

Dieter is a big spoiled baby.

My car died on saturday on my way home from picking up my prescription at Osco. It was RIGHT in front of the Congress Theater. All these cars were honking at me, people swearing and telling me to get the hell or fuck out of the way. My god damn blinkers are on, shit, go the fuck around.... I'm yelling back at them. Finally, these two guys that were putting up letters on the Congress marquee help move my car to the side. Skinny Puppy was playing there that night and there were people sitting near the entrance in sleeping bags watching all this. embarrasing.

I called my mom to get my step-dad's cell phone number because I don't have anybodies phone number logged on the replacement phone and was annoyed by that as well. I call him to get the mechanic's number. They're CLOSED on weekends. What. the. hell ? So, I call some towing company and they said they'd be able to pick up my car in a half an hour. So, I just sat there, for a half an hour, staring at the people waiting in line for Skinny Puppy. I was just thinking to myself hmmm, its 12:30 pm and the show probably starts around 9pm... I don't think i would ever wait in line in the cold for more than 9 hours.

I just talked to the mechanic guy and he said the car started up right away and drives just fine. This happened the first time my car died but they found some weird doo-hickey that was clogged with gas and that was preventing the gas to get to the engine or whatever and that was the problem. Now, they're saying that I can't use cheap gas and have to buy premium.

The pay cabler confirmed Friday that the upcoming fifth season of "Six Feet" will be the last for the ensemble drama revolving around the trials and tribulations of a Pasadena family that runs a funeral parlor. Series creator/executive producer Alan Ball recently informed HBO executives that he felt the show will have run its creative course by the end of the upcoming 12-episode season.

My computer is dead. Which really sucks because I really need to start writing my research paper for my critical thinking class. I haven't even thought of a thesis yet.... I was talking to my teacher the other day and she was just like 'ohhhhhhh, don't worry about that, it'll come to you without you even knowing it......' I was just like well, when ??????? I can't really start writing a paper without knowing the thesis....

My topic is really fucking cool. It's on Picasso's Guernica. Ok, first off, the "Theme" for my critical thinking class is "War" so we have to write some war related paper. The first thing that came to my mind was Guernica. I have an extremely small version of the mural on my wall and was like "this is going to be awesome !!!!!!!!!!" Everyone else in my class is writing about either WWII, Vietnam, Iraq War or Terrorism ...which, really bores the hell out of me. Whenever someone in my class asks me what the topic for my paper is, they're like "wow,that's very clever" and ahhhhhhhhh and oooooo and shit like that. Even my teacher is all excited for it. So, this better be a damn good paper.

My phone is also like 90% dead. I dropped it a couple months ago and the flippy dealy on my phone broke so whenever I flip the phone it'll break into two pieces. I super glued it and it was fine until recently. Now, the two pieces are hanging together by this wire that is torn half way. My screen is black so I can't make any calls because I cant see who I'm calling. I can recieve calls and that's about it. I called T-Mobile and they're shipping a replacement phone soon.

I was also thinking that if my computer is totally dead, I might just have to buy a new one. My lame ass laptop can't do shit. I think I'm just going to sell the damn thing.
